If you’ve been working hard to stay healthy over the last 12 week challenge and see the holidays as a the straw that broke the camels back, think again! Make sure to follow these simple rules to keep you feeling fit and energetic through the temptations the holidays always bring.
RULE 1: Drink Up! Water that is☺ Basic rule of thumb is 40ml of water per kilo of body weight. If you are not able to get quality spring water, just add a pinch of Himalayan salt and a squeeze of lemon to re-mineralise and alkalise your body. It will thank you!
RULE 2: Don’t Load Up! Simply eat smaller portions approximately the size of the palm of your hand. You will most likely be able to graze during the day and into the night so don’t overdue it at any meal. You will feel lighter and have more energy so you can party on☺
RULE 3: If it’s Still Alive-It’s A Delicacy, So Chow Down! Yep, fresh raw fruits and veggies will not only pump you full of energy, but they are packed full of loyal workers called enzymes! And these guys work hard to keep your metabolism running on high speed to clean you up at all hours of the day and night. So eat up, it if it’s alive!
Rule 4: Grandma Says Eat Your Greens! And she wasn’t wrong, so stuff yourself silly with those green leafy veggies and fruits like Avocado. Chlorophyll is the colour of health, the green pigment in plants is actually helping your body grab hold of the excess waste and toss it out. So make sure to get these in at the start of dinner, so you can give your body what it needs to enjoy the festivities!
RULE 5: Move Your Toosh! Put all this advice to use and you will fuel a fire to light up the dance floor! You need to stay fit through the season and move your precious lymph system so it can clean you out. So Dance off those extra bits and pieces and don’t skip your training sessions!
